The first week in December was only the beginning of my craziest month since marriage. December marked the beginning of the end of my busy season at work, Christmas and friends finally being free to hang out before they went home for the holidays.
Dixie finally returned from her Los Angeles adventure a couple days before UT's graduation. I was actually excited to go, but it was really weird sitting through the same graduation that I was in...only 6 months later. I just can't believe how many things have changed in such a short period of time. I got my first job, married Kyle, went to Mexico on our wonderful Honeymoon...the list goes on and on. After the ceremony, we headed out for Dixie's celebratory lunch at an amazing Mexican restaurant on Lamar.
That night Kyle and I drove down to San Marcos in time for dinner at our favorite restaurant (Italian Garden) before the Sights and Sounds Christmas Festival. We knew that no matter how busy we were, we had to make it down for Sights and Sounds. It was after that same festival last year that Kyle proposed, so missing it this year was not an option. We browsed the kids art exhibit, watched live cultural dances and music on the stage, ate those awesome biscuits, shopped and walked through the live nativity. The whole thing was cheesy...yet so much fun and special.
